Understanding Materials and Finishes
The training explored the key components of interior wood products: substrates, decorative surfaces and accessories. Topics included solid wood, MDF, plywood and OSB, alongside natural wood veneers, engineered veneers, upholstery materials and hardware.
For decorative wall panels and wood veneer panels, the discussion emphasized matching materials and finishes to each project's design, application and budget. Open-pore and closed-pore finishes were also reviewed to help the team explain different surface effects to customers.

Clearer Quotations and Project Communication
Accurate quotations begin with well-defined requirements. The team discussed confirming dimensions, functional needs, material specifications and hardware during the drawing development stage. Optional features, such as integrated LED lighting, should also be clearly included in the project scope and quotation.
The session highlighted the value of reviewing drawings, site photos and customer preferences early. This approach helps customers understand the proposed materials, construction details and pricing before moving forward.

Attention to Installation and Finishing Details
Technical discussions covered wall preparation, finished-product trial assembly, panel joints and cabinet construction. Particular attention was given to joint detailing for interior wall cladding, as well as cabinet designs that support convenient installation and future maintenance.
The team also explored how trial assembly and clearer installation guidance could help identify fitting issues before delivery and improve coordination between sales, design and production.
Following the session, MUMU plans to organize material comparison resources and develop further guidance on packaging estimates and installation methods. These efforts aim to support more consistent technical communication throughout future projects.
