Description:

Oak is a great way to update your rooms and highlight the special care that has gone into your property.but its poor exterior performance has always been a limitation. Our 212°C Thermally modified Red Oak solves this by offering exceptional rot and water resistance, dimensional stability, and a rich, exotic-looking color. It retains the familiar working properties of traditional Oak-easily milled, joined, glued, and fastened-while eliminating seasonal movement. Although slightly harder and less dense, the difference is negligible. Visually, it shifts from pale brown to a deep, dark brown that can be left to weather to a silvery gray or maintained with annual oiling to preserve its natural tone. MUMU Thermally Modified Oak provides only the finest grade, FSC-verified oak, so that you can achieve a rustic or natural wood look very easily.

FAQ:

Q1: How do I look after thermally modified wood?

It's really simple. You can just let it fade naturally to a lovely grey - zero effort needed. But if you want to keep that warm original colour, just give it an occasional coat of tinted penetrating oil.

Q2: Why pick thermowood instead of normal painted wood?

Because the strength goes all the way through. Regular painted wood only has protection on the outside, but MUMU Thermally Modified Oak is stable and tough right to its core. Your paint finish lasts longer with far less hassle.

Q3: When will my order get here?

It depends on what you're ordering and how much. Small orders usually ship within 7 to 15 days after payment. For bigger orders, it takes us about 30 days to get everything ready.

Q4: Can I get a free sample?

Sure thing! We'll send you a sample at no cost; you just cover the shipping - either freight collect or prepaid.

Q5: Is it really made without chemicals?

Totally. We only use an old-fashioned, natural method: just fire treatment and natural oils, nothing synthetic at all.

Q6: Is this wood stronger than normal siding?

It's way more stable and shrugs off rot and bugs much better. It is a little more brittle, but when it comes to resisting warping and shrinking, it's far stronger than untreated wood.

Q7: How many years will my thermowood last?

Outdoors, you're looking at a solid 10 to 15 years with basic care. Indoors, it'll last even longer than that.

Q8: Can I order custom sizes and colours?

Absolutely! We can customise the timber species, joinery, colour, and dimensions to suit your project perfectly.
